Educators Use Video to Educate the Public

LAI Video is proud to work together with various educational institutions -- to help these great organizations communicate their mission to the communities in which they serve.

Partnering with DC Education Fund, we produced a video that touts DC Public Schools ambitious new Study Abroad Program. Motionographers Tiffany and Anthony taught teachers and students how to wield GoPro cameras to #captureeverything and properly document 2016's summer trips around the world. Sarah and cinematographer Phil captured interviews with the administration, students and parents that speak to the life-changing experience; an opportunity to become citizens of the world. Justin, Jun and Rob created a final video that dreams of expanding this program to all students in the DC school system -- an endeavor that requires the interest of DCPS families and support of the community.

For our sixth video case study with CohnReznick, we produced a video that spotlights the positive effects of New Market Tax Credits on the recent expansion for the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA). During a two-day shoot, Cat, Jun and Anthony interviewed students and instructors that spoke to NOCCA's legacy and impact on New Orleans. From music and dance to the culinary and fine arts, this featurette focuses specifically on the school's newer offerings -- a special set of services that wouldn't be possible without proper funding from local investors.

For the National Capitol Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, we produced several videos that debuted at their Inaugural Gala. Looking to create something that would last beyond the event, Cat, Favata, Jun and Anthony produced a video that embodies the Boy Scouts spirit. "Life of a Scout" follows the coolest scout with the coolest name Justice Boston on a "typical" day. The video not only tells Justice's story, but also speaks to the entire Boy Scouts experience -- something that is a positive for individuals and the community.
