Alongside our sister business, LAI Live producing the show in Washington, DC, Niles made the seamless introductions to get our group of nerds on-site. From the inspiring keynote speeches and breakout sessions to the killer poster presentations and scholarship announcements, it became clear that Scholar's Day was a can't-miss marketing opportunity to capture the spirit of NSHSS's mission. As we learned more about Scholar's Day and its impressive programming and participants, we drafted a strategy to get the most distinct promotional content from the two-day event.

LAI Video was stoked to go back to school and tell the stories of some very eager high school students earning some very life-changing scholarships. We partnered with the National Society of High School Scholars to promote their largest event of the year, Scholar's Day.

With a small school bus worth of team members, LAI Video's cinematographers and on-site editors story-told in realtime, producing content overnight to debut at the event. Dylan managed a pre-calc-worthy production schedule that layered multiple crews making multiple videos. Jun and De'von led the cinematography team, capturing the wide-eyed and wide-angle perspectives of the young people. James Favata and Tiffany were among the night-cutters, editing videos focused on various causes, including the Scholarship Recipients, Student Exhibition, and general "can't-miss-it" vibe of the whole event. De'von also composited Insta-inspired squiggles, swooshes, and swirlies that honored the original event theming and made these videos "pop" for the next class of prospective attendees.
