Video-Makers | LAI Video

Henry emerged out of the untamed wilderness of the freelance video world to make a home for himself as one of LAI’s Associate Producer + Project Managers.  When he’s not diligently walking clients through their project’s latest draft, he enjoys showing off in the kitchen, playing beer league roller hockey, and falling so hopelessly far behind in his Netflix queue that he’ll be doing the Bird Box Challenge any day now.

Hugh is a storyteller, a problem-solver, and LAI Video’s Creative Proposal Writer. There’s no concept that’s too big for his written word, and no campaign too bold for his adventurous mind. Graduating from Georgetown University in 2022, Hugh has a background in journalism, psychology research, and criminal justice reform. He is always looking for new topics to write about and new ways to learn. When not scribbling on a notepad or mumbling sentences to himself, Hugh enjoys a good hike, an old film camera, and a few too many Steph Curry three-pointers.

The super capable Megan comes to us from Staunton Virginia and is a graduate of the University of Georgia. With a degree in Journalism and Film, she has a critical eye for great video (Which is why she came to work for LAI Video, obviously.) Megan’s hard work and good humor as a Production Coordinator keep your projects running smoothly on set and behind the scenes. When she’s not in the office, Megan can be found running, reading, swimming and… *checks notes* she doesn’t drink coffee?? Sounds exhausting.

Donovan Randolph joins LAI from Indigo Republic where a worked on a web series and a feature length film. He plans to bring his cinematic expertise and unique editing skills to Emmy-winning LAI Video team.

May McKernan’s path into animation has been one long, inevitable surprise. Hot off the heels of graduating with a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2021, she joined LAI Video with a saddlebag of ambition that only continues to grow. A dynamic maker with the ability to conjure psychedelic grandeur and silky-smooth graphics on a whim, May comes to LAI equipped with a toolset for the beautiful and strange. Her work has screened both domestically and internationally, and has been featured in Redefine Magazine, Week in Pop, and Stereogum.

Hailing from the wild Midwest, Mike can graphic himself out of a tight spot when necessary.  It’s never necessary because that’s not how life works, but still, he could probably do it.

Under his calm exterior, Anthony is simmering with big ideas and a bottomless reserve of the latest industry trends. He’s LAI Video’s mad scientist: a motion graphics artist, editor, and colorist, with a passion for finding the best equipment or technology to get the job done right. The first time. If there’s a new technique, camera rig, or software plugin, he’s probably experimenting with it right now.

Jun is the Director of Photography for LAI Video. Immediately after he graduated from American University, he began work as a freelance cinematographer and editor. He has been traveling everywhere (including a place called Anguilla) to document special events and create unique images for clients. He also volunteers at the COSMO COUTURE annual charity event in DC, which is committed to eradicating domestic violence for women and children. Jun is detail oriented and strives to achieve the best in his works.

Rob Kramer is a proud member of LAI Video's team as an Editor-Animator-Producer-Videographer (Or edinamodugrapher, an industry term he coined which has yet to catch on- we can't fathom why it hasn't). Like many members of the LAI Video team he is called on for a myriad video tasks but focuses on post production and graphics. He learned his trade at James Madison University. Previously, he worked on commercials and industrials for clients like the U.S.

Motionography, the art of animating graphics, is a burgeoning field. But Tiffany is helping to write the book on it. Her unmistakable style makes otherwise flat statistics and images burst with excitement and life. We're in a world where a 15-second YouTube ad can seem like an eternity, so she labors to design every second of her videos with visuals that are fun, elegant, and engaging. Tiffany has applied this work ethic throughout her career, with a history of clients from the Discovery Channel to the U.S. Army. A prolific creative, Tiffany is also a documentarian and costume designer.
