SALES + MARKETING COORDINATOR

LAI Live and LAI Video

Leading Authorities, Inc. is looking for a Sales + Marketing Coordinator to work on both its LAI Live and LAI Video teams.

In this role, you will work closely with our two Sales Teams, as well as our Marketing and Accounting departments,  to help put together attractive proposals, air-tight contracts, and track and organize relevant data of our outreach and marketing efforts. This is an entry-level position and a great opportunity to build a career at a diverse company.

LAI Live and LAI Video are two distinguished creative agencies in the fields of live event production and video marketing. We regularly partner with major brands, associations, and some wonderful nonprofits to tell their stories through memorable event experiences and visual communications. As incredible as these projects may be, it is paramount that we also follow thoughtful and organized processes internally and with our partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with LAI Live and LAI Video leadership on research and outreach initiatives
  • Work with our Sales and Creative Teams to draft impressive, comprehensive proposals in Canva
  • Build out detailed contract agreements with accurate terms
  • Handle the processing of contracts with accuracy and timeliness
  • Work within CRM to ensure that Sales Team members are reporting activities accurately, provide ongoing reports of team-wide progress and trends, and propose improvements
  • Identify prospective clients and add contact information int our CRM database
  • Manage and relay payment activity for clients and vendors to the Accounting Team
  • Schedule internal and client meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must posses strong communication and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently but within strategic framework of a larger team
  • Good work ethic and curiosity to learn
  • Comfortability with Microsoft Office 365 and Canva
  • Can manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher)

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER + PROJECT MANAGER

One of three divisions at Leading Authorities, Inc., LAI Video is a booming, boutique video communications company with a team of creative storytellers. The LAI Video nerds pitch and produce commercial-grade videos to a variety of organizations in Washington, DC and beyond. From public service announcements to product promos, we develop a new angle to engage with a target audience.

As we continue to grow, LAI Video is looking for a new Associate Producer + Project Manager to join its family. The Associate Producer + Project Manager lives within the Client Experience group and bridges the gap between the needs of our partners and our own creative team to deliver a stunning product and an inviting collaborative process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with clients to identify, conceptualize, and execute fresh and compelling stories through video production and other digital media, including graphic and web design
  • Interact regularly with clients in video briefings, kick-off meetings and throughout the project life cycle
  • Be responsible for production schedules, budgets, vendors, travel arrangements and all logistics for projects
  • Work closely with LAI Video team members to develop treatments, scripts, and storyboards, as well as cast talent, scout locations, and draft shooting schedules
  • Produce local and on-location shoots, organizing crew, directing talent, and conducting interviews
  • Manage editors and animators throughout post-production, ensuring that drafted deliverables meet client goals and expectations and uphold LAI Video quality standards
  • Oversee several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced production environment
  • Establish clear creative and logistical expectations on each project
  • React quickly to creatively troubleshoot problems as they arise
  • Continue to manage partner relationships between projects
  • Work with the sales team to pitch, propose and budget new projects with existing partners
  • Report directly to Vice President of Operations and Client Experience
  • Work regularly with LAI Video Leadership and Executive Management
  • Maintain project management software to benchmark department utilization and success
  • Enforce and create the necessary infrastructure to keep LAI Video progressive and efficient
  • Provide general administrative support as needed
  • Travel as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Communications or Media and Video Production
  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in a fast-paced production or marketing environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented and an active problem-solver
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects while adhering to tight deadlines and occasional overtime
  • Punctual and an overall team player

ACCOUNT DIRECTOR, SALES TEAM

The Account Director plays an essential role in developing and pitching meaningful campaigns while defining an exceptional client experience.

The Account Director listens to a client's needs and leads internal and external conversations to assemble the most creative, most effective and most budget-conscious solutions. Whether we are presenting a commercial concept for a local business or designing a multi-faceted, multi-year digital campaign for a non-profit, the Account Director will be the consistent through line for every prospect or partner, guiding them through a highly collaborative budget and proposal process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sell LAI Video’s services to meet your sales goal
  • Work with the team to pitch new ideas, draft budgets and write proposals
  • Develop relationships and prospect by making calls, sending emails
  • Attend social and professional events
  • Manage long-lasting client partnerships
  • Maintain a database

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher)
  • 5 years sales experience
  • 5 years in marketing, comms and / or video production fields
  • Experience in ad agency, government contracting and / or content creation (programming) a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships
  • Culturally aware, meme-literate and an all around decent person

MOTION GRAPHICS DESIGNER

LAI Video is looking for a Motion Graphics Designer to join its family. They will provide a variety of refreshing video solutions that help clients tell their story. The right candidate will have the ability to lay down keyframes with the finesse of an Olympic curler and speed of a cheetah. The Motion Graphics Designer will also draft storyboards, create style frames for new projects and add an overall design “eye” to everything LAI Video touches.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce videos using original motion graphics, composite animation, and editing
  • Pre-visualize concepts through the creation of mood boards, style frames, and storyboards
  • Mix audio and create immersive sound design to accompany animated videos
  • Design and create various graphic content to be used in print-materials or video
  • Develop and create presentation visuals for external and internal clientele
  • Work closely with the Video Makers, Producers, Creative Directors, and LAI Video Management
  • Follow established LAI Video production and time-tracking processes
  • Research and help implement new ways to keep LAI Video progressive, contemporary and efficient

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Video, Film Production, Media, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Proficient in Adobe applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects while adhering to tight deadlines
  • Organized and detailed-oriented

CINEMATOGRAPHER + EDITOR

As we continue to grow, LAI Video is looking for a new Cinematographer + Editor to join its family. From artful run-and-gun shoots to short-form documentaries and live-action narratives, he or she will remain agile and provide a variety of refreshing visual solutions. The Cinematographer + Editor will also be responsible for drawing out the story through compelling editing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce videos using creative and reliable cinematography
  • Create interesting and unique shot compositions for docu-style and pre-planned shoots
  • Utilize professional lighting, audio equipment and camera gear to create a high quality, cinematic “look”
  • Travel for on-location shoots
  • Work closely with LAI Video team members to develop treatments, scripts and storyboards, as well as cast talent, scout locations and draft shooting schedules
  • On-site, work closely with fellow Cinematographers, Producers and Creative Director
  • Stage and direct talent to create a comfortable environment while prompting engaging performances
  • Provide compelling editing services for promotional, educational or emotional content, including color correction and sound mixing
  • Ensure LAI Video studio and equipment operate optimally, effectively, efficiently and in accordance with established standards and inventory procedures
  • Conduct photo shoots as necessary
  • Follow established LAI Video production, post-production and time-tracking processes
  • Compress, dub and deliver digital videos
  • Research and help implement new ways to keep LAI Video progressive and efficient

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Video, Film Production, Media or equivalent work experience
  • >At least 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in a fast-paced production environment
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

PRODUCTION COORDINATOR

From product promos to short documentaries, we develop new ways to engage with each unique target audience and carry the project from pitch through post-production.

LAI Video is looking for a Production Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment to serve as an integral part of the department’s internal operations. The ideal candidate is a utility player, able to support our teams of Producers, Cinematographers, and Editors by contributing to an efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain footage servers for current and archived files, including setting up folder structures and project files.
  • Responsible for offloading, logging, and labeling footage after each shoot.
  • Manage hard drive distribution and collection (purchasing, loading, offloading, and mailing drives).
  • Reconnect project files in Adobe Premiere after file transfers.
  • Assist Producers in project logistics (location research, booking glam teams, ordering props, arranging travel).
  • Act as Production Assistant on site during larger shoots.
  • Assist with equipment management by placing rental orders and scheduling gear repairs.
  • Organize team lunches and activities.
  • Order miscellaneous office supplies and materials at the request of team members.

Qualifications

  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal, computer and organizational skills.
  • Ability to be proactive and work independently within strategic framework of a larger team.
  • Professional, resourceful, and able to take ownership over assigned duties.
  • Willingness to learn and propose new ideas and solutions.
  • Able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Familiar with production, editorial, and footage transferring workflows.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere.
  • Background and/or work experience in video production industry is preferred.

VIDEO PRODUCTION ASSISTANT INTERN

Production Assistant duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare all the supplies and equipment needed for the set
  • Manage the equipment as needed
  • Assist other crew members with their duties
  • Prepare all the paperwork such as scripts for the set
  • Make sure all the members have their necessary tools
  • Assist actors with their needs
  • Perform safety checks for people and equipment on the set
  • Deliver messages among team members
  • Help with various administrative work
