Each year, culinarians throughout the country come together during ACF’s National Convention to learn, network, and do battle (naturally). The event’s signature programming includes six live culinary competitions, which boast one hundred national contenders — and spectators keen to find out which chefs will take home a title. Working with our sister company, LAI Live, who produced the show, Melinda cooked up a plan to quickly introduce each category and nominees with graphic flourish and dramatic suspense. Mike whipped up awards “bumpers” that teased the audience before the winners took the stage.
90 Reasons to Join the ACF
When the American Culinary Federation (ACF) approached us to spice up its 2019 National Convention, we were thrilled to rise to the task. Drawing inspiration from hit cooking reality shows, we sought to raise the production value of the event with an unforgettable recap and a TV-worthy graphics package that both enhanced the attendee experience while reinforcing the organization’s greater offerings.
If You Can't Stand The Heat, Make Bumpers

Short Order (But Long Lasting) Content
Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper rose ceremony (maybe we’re mixing reality shows) a recap summarizing the Convention so far. We dispatched Stephanie, Tiffany and Jordan to Orlando to make an overnight promotional video that captures the event’s intense competitions and even more intense camaraderie. Featuring fully-baked soundbites and yummy b-roll shots, the video not only debuted at the Convention’s prominent awards dinner, but it also continues to serve as a major recruitment tool to draw winning chefs to this 90-year old community.
