It’s official, and it’s more exciting than we ever imagined: LAI Video is going to SXSW EDU2024!
Our VP of Creative, James Favata, will present alongside our partners, District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) in Austin this March. The joint session, titled “Authentic Storytelling for Transformational Strategies,” will examine how DCPS embraced documentary storytelling to lead its unprecedented redesign process at Anacostia High School and how LAI Video guided their efforts into an Emmy® Award-winning short film.

While the formal schedule has yet to be announced, you can expect to see James Favata on a four-person panel alongside Sonya Solloway, Manager of Design & innovation for DCPS, Emily Nixon, Managing Director of Operations & Programs for DC Public Education Fund, and William Haith, the Principal of Ballou High School in SE Washington. It’s a knowledgeable, experienced, and expert group that will provide insights of all kinds.
